I think the difference here is starting vs. a new start. You want an airline job you have to fly at a regional first, with few exceptions for high time military pilots. Now If I had gone and applied to gojets knowing they are an alter ego airline used to bust a union contract that would be an entirely different story.
So what’s the big deal in posting a list of all airline pilots? I would gladly put my name under skyw; guess I would fall into the regional pilot scab type category with the thousands of other guys who work for regionals.
What you cannot or will not see is that you can't chastise one set of pilots for working at Skybus or VA while at the same time praising yourself for taking a lower paying job just so you can work to make things better.
As for your list of all airline pilots, a careful review of the initial post will show that you are/were only interested in a list of pilots working for carriers that you think are damaging the profession.
If a Delta guy came on here and started asking about putting together a list of all the Skywest 700/900 pilots for employers to use to see who flew mainline routes for RJ wages would you gladly offer up your name or would you object to the very idea?
