As someone who has sat next to a hospital bed holding the hand of a beloved family member subjected to a mercilessly violent sex crime, your cavalier reference appalls me.
I don't lack any empathy towards victims of sex crimes. As a matter of fact, rapists and child sexual abusers should be given life in prison at the very least. However horrific your experience was, you'll just have to get over the fact that people will use the word "rape" in a figurative sense many times during your lifetime.
So while it's unfortunate that you and your loved ones have had to suffer through something so heinous, please don't try to guilt me into feeling bad about using the word "rape" when it comes to what SWAPA and the company coconspired to do to the AT pilots.
