The recruiters job is to serve as an interface between pilots and a company...they deal with those who are interested and those who are qualified. They are looking for those who are interested and qualified. Spending a few hours at a job fair is experience you can't get in the cockpit in the airplane because you saved money on gas.
Slow down, think about what you're saying for a minute, and realize that people start at different places. By discouraging people from going to these job fairs you are hindering your job security. Just because someone doesn't meet mins doesn't mean they can't learn.
you may stand no chance at getting hired at ups because you don't have the heavy intl experience, do you put the app in?
You want me to slow down and think about what I am saying! I highlighted the text in your reply. You said the same thing I have said. They are looking for qualified pilots. Qualified pilots is defined as meeting their minimums of total time, and any other relevant factors. Since you know a few people who have been hired at different airlines with less than the mins they are looking for why don't you find out what these pilots did to get the jobs and let the original poster know so he could do the same. You are bent on telling this guy that there is a secret way of getting hired with lower mins, clue him in so he can get a job with 250 hours and 50 mulit please.
