I am pretty happy with life at the moment, 18 days off next month. Jetblue and Spirit do not interest me, its AA or Delta and that is it. After almost a decade commuting I finally drive to work and I will never go back to a long term commute. If you are happy at Mesa that is great, it seems like an okay place to build time and get out. My only point was it is hypocritical to talk trash about PSA or PDT when you are wishing for and predicting more aircraft at Mesa, especially given their history over the past 10 years or so.
Where was I ever hoping for or predicting, please tell me.
I am just passing on what I have been told by our CP and Training Dept.
I worked at RAH and let's just say I'll light the match if someone else pours the gasoline. I don't want BB, WH or any of his cronies to get anymore flying.
A wholly owned (Eagle) said no to concessions and AAG turned to another one of their wholly owned airlines (PSA) and those guys said Yes, screwing Eagle. Whatever makes you guys sleep at night by justifying this is your own problem.
The fact that Mesa gets paid less than PSA isn't the point. It's the ramifications of PSA saying Yes after Eagle said no, taking away any negotiating leverage Eagle had.
I could care less if Mesa gets anymore flying my upgrade is secured here as a middle of the list 175 Captain with the flying we are already getting.
