Even WITH a contract, most companies abuse their unionized employees and frequently (almost daily) disregard agreements they make. The mortality rates at meat packing plants, auto plants, etc were much higher prior to unionization as well. Unions served their purpose and forced federal regulations to protect workers. It's time unions faded in to the history books as all they do now is cost jobs.
