RIC is a LOOOONG drive from CHO. A lot longer than it looks from the map. It's just one of those combinations of surface roads that takes freekin' forever.

And that was in 1995. I'm sure 20 years of growth hasn't helped.

UVA is on the southish side of town, FWIW. From what I recall, there wasn't much south of it, so you had to fight traffic to the north side where all the "consumer" goodies were along the US29 corridor.

That said, be sure to get bagels from Bodos.
