What was their reasoning? The arbitrated one will have less value. The value of that contract was more than DAL and UAL, what more do they want? Unbelievable.

I can't imagine the company would sweeten the pot any more, they already went above and beyond.

Companies can be vindictive when their perceived charity is rejected. Look at what SWA did to the AirTran folks. AAG is crucifying Eagle for their rejection of pay caps. I'm just mystified is all...
