Let's face it.. ALPA sucks like a mofo, regardless of who hates them.. Regardless of how many people they screw over and poison with bitterness. They are just a group of self described elitists that are afraid to fly or just don't like flying the line. ALPA leaders found a way to make more money, wear suits, and eat free escargot.

It happens at every union. Every pilot group has its share of sell outs that gravitate to the largesse. The more bureaucratic layers to a union, the more largesse to scope out (pun intended).
