Anytime someone starts complaining, I ask them if they ever flew 121 before January of this year--if the answer is "no" I just laugh out loud and roll my eyes--they have no idea how much better QOL is at every regional now compared to the last 5-10 years.

The new hires I've flown with have all been fairly decent men and women, and seem to be happy to be here (at least for now) flying our not-so-SJS shiny jets. Those who want to get to PHX seem to be getting there fairly quickly, much faster than the pre-bankruptcy days.
I've heard a few whiners, flown with a couple of folks who seem to think that they should get a CA recommendation because they put their pants on correctly in the morning (fast upgrade!).
If Mr. IhateIAD is so un-enamored with Mesa, perhaps he'd be happier at PSA, there's a "me me me" pilot group that looks out for everyone (not)! I heard their training department is "top-notch" too, with a better than 40% fail rate on new-hire check rides. Sounds like the kind of place that would make "Maverick" IhateIAD happy as can be. Embrace the suck of a commute to TYS or DAY my man!
