I'm not current in it anymore but I sure liked flying it. I have several thousand hours in the 1124 (WW1 and WW2) and a 1000+ in the 1121 (Jet Commander). The WW had more endurance than you wanted to be sitting up front for. It wasn't fast (.72 normal cruise), wasn't sexy like the Lear, handled like a truck, but it got the job done. 5+ hours endurance. No calendar items except for the pitot static and O2 bottle check every 24 months. Inspections were strictly time items. 200 hour A Check, 400 hour B Check, and 800 hour C Check. You could park in the hangar and not have to pay for inspections if you weren't using it. Great airplane, just didn't have the sex appeal to make it appealing to the buyers. IMHO The Westwind is sexier than the new Lears
My dad flew one as copilot and loved it. He was considering getting a type rating for it, but he is kind of glad he didn't as it is a pretty rare sight now.
