If you want to obsess a little...

It might be better to avoid a high-n-tight at an interview, they're common enough on line (lots of reservists) but you never know if one of the HR ladies or civie pilots has a hard spot for baby killers.

A stock military haircut is probably fine though, and I would definitely go with at least a recent, conservative haircut. If you have a very short haircut, let it grow out and then get it cut by a pro barber. Don't use the exchange barber (unless it's your regular guy who does a good job), your wife's stylist, or supercuts. Go to a real traditional barbershop.

Also try to get it cut 3-4 days before the interview. Hollywood actually requires bit-part actors to get haircut documentation indicating when it was done. Too recent = not settled down yet, not recent enough = shaggy.
