Haircut for M & G with CP
Mil pilot who hasn't had a civilian hairstyle in 14+ years. I'm guessing the high & tight isn't the preferred for major airlines. Is the mil style frowned on in the majors? Something more "Civil"-ized?

Five Things Job Candidates Obsess Over That Hiring Managers Don't
A fairly recent haircut is a good idea, I'd thing twice about sporting a mullet or dying it blue, any other style is good-to-go.

If you want to obsess a little...
It might be better to avoid a high-n-tight at an interview, they're common enough on line (lots of reservists) but you never know if one of the HR ladies or civie pilots has a hard spot for baby killers.
A stock military haircut is probably fine though, and I would definitely go with at least a recent, conservative haircut. If you have a very short haircut, let it grow out and then get it cut by a pro barber. Don't use the exchange barber (unless it's your regular guy who does a good job), your wife's stylist, or supercuts. Go to a real traditional barbershop.
Also try to get it cut 3-4 days before the interview. Hollywood actually requires bit-part actors to get haircut documentation indicating when it was done. Too recent = not settled down yet, not recent enough = shaggy.
