With Mesa insurance--even the most expensive plans--you're capped at 12 Rx fills per year. That's for ALL medications--i.e. if someone has a medication they need refilled on a monthly basis, that is the ONLY medication the insurance will pay for (12 fills TOTAL per plan year).
It's the worst. And unlike lots of other regionals, Mesa's pilots are on the same plans as the other employee groups, so essentially we're subsidizing "less healthy" employee groups by paying for such crappy, horrible coverage. (pilots are mostly male and mostly relatively healthy, so pretty cheap to insure compared to almost every other employee group).
Ughhhhhhh wish I had gone with Obamacare--with the subsidy I would've gotten (FO pay qualifies), it would've been the same cost for wayyyyyyy better coverage.
