"At the discretion of the Company, a pilot may be granted a leave of absence without pay for a period not in excess of twelve (12) months. The pilot shall retain and shall continue to accrue seniority but not longevity, during such leave of absence, provided that during such period the pilot maintains his airline pilot’s certificate or certificates required for his status. Such leave or leaves may be extended for additional periods of not to exceed twelve (12) months for each such leave when approved in writing by the Company. "
Does this mean you could in theory be on leave for your 12 month probationary period maintain your seniority and come back off probation? although unlikely and probably almost impossible?
