If you're on RS3, to get your 30 hours of rest in 7 days, I think they could hypothetically keep you going til 6 a.m. on the 7th day. But I doubt it ever happens. As for the third day off, the only way they'd schedule you then is before your other days off ended. I guess it's possible but unlikely to the point that it's not worth it.
Like you I was always 6-days-on, so I never even bothered with Golden Days. But if you happen to get a stretch of 4 or 5 days on, or just want to be
absolutely sure you're off for that wedding or Superbowl or whatever, that's when I'd bid it.
