I know a couple of guys who have done/or are doing what it seems that you are thinking about and it certainly seems like a good deal.
I was giving one of them a ration just the other day for complaining and I reminded him that the USAF had given him the opportunity to get three marketable type ratings during his time.
Will it be worth it? Who can guess - but you'd be marketable than I with that type rating for Global job!
