They will have to arrive via side letters or a new contract forged without cost-neutral safety nets for the company.
Will we be the airline everyone hoped it would be when the merger was announced? No. Will it be gloom and doom and dogs-and-cats-living-together moments where pilots are miserable and everyone hates life? No, not unless you're just that type of negative personality.
Even with things the way they are, I'm happy to be here. The pay increase will be nice, the other changes will likely be minimal to overall QOL. Time to move on and enjoy having one of the better jobs in the world.
I understand your present intoxication with your surroundings, but that high will wear off. The truth is significant contractual improvements won't arrive. Certainly NOT by any future section 6. You touched on the reality when you said "cost neutral". In 2020, Parker will again offer quid-pro-quo for raises that will still not be long-term industry leading. So, we will have to agree to once again take what's offered or remain with a 2015 bankruptcy contract and industry trailing wages, because this pilot group will be no stronger then it is now and likely the opposite.
