SkyWest was having retention problems for ramp personnel to begin with. Then they cut the pay. Then they started talking about cutting benefits (not sure if they ever got to that point before being succeeded).

The fact of the matter is that you just can't attract a reliable workforce to bust ass on the ramp for less than $13/hr + benefits, especially at KDEN because driving to work is expensive and time consuming.
