Like I said before, just because you are a military pilot, does NOT make you a good pilot for flying passengers and having a crew environment.
I'd argue that most Major Airlines would disagree with you.... Especially Delta. Professional industries outside of aviation call it 'Veterans Prefernce'. It should be no different in the airline world. Obviously if the military member's resume isn't competitive, he should be passed up for the stronger candidate.
