F'd over implies the employees at those regionals were owed something. The only thing my employer owes me is the pay I am due for the pay credits I have worked per our CBA. They do not owe me a job, a line, or a Captain slot.

On the other hand, I do not owe Mesa anything more than what I am legally required to do per the CBA/company policies/procedures to earn my pay--nothing more, nothing less.

If someone feels they have been "f'd over" they have the option to make a lateral transfer to another regional or go work in another industry that meets their desired QOL/pay/schedule.

If all pilots adopted this very cynical viewpoint on what it is we do as regional pilots, and removed emotions from the situation, you'd see way fewer people like FaceBiter in here wasting time and emotional energy trolling a bunch of Mesa pilots b/c he's sad his career moves didn't work out the way ours did.
And that's where I disagree. I think if an employer is making incredible profits off the hard work and dedication of a highly skilled work force, it owes its work force a reward in better wages and benefits. This is true considering the FO wage is, especially at Mesa, abysmal. The amount of money paid is not commeserate with the individual investment by the employee. I'm not naive enough to believe that a first officer with no airline experience should make 100k a year like some think. I do, however, believe that a labor group should strive to better the lives of those that come after them as a testimate to the effort made to make your corporation profitable. At the very least, strive to be average.

It is up to you how you get it done. It honestly doesn't affect me if you don't want to make your contract better as I will never choose employment for that clown or Bedford. I'm just giving an opinion on a public message board. If you don't want the opinions of your industry peers, create your own exclusive message board. Until then, for every person that says "def come to Mesa bro," I'll be here to give them a realistic picture of the situation. It isn't fair to people who don't know the industry to not give them that. There are at least 3 other companies that promise what Mesa has with better pay and work rules. That is a fact.
