Ask yourself this question. Has Mesa ever had a leading contract EVER? Has Mesa ever been in the top half of contracts EVER? Has Mesa EVER been not at the absolute bottom?
Mesa, love them or hate them they are who they are and always will be. Just like Republic, Republic may get a new contract, but don't expect it to be anywhere close to the top. Republic is Republic and Mesa is Mesa.
If you went to Mesa for good pay scale...well....
