How did you guys get so convinced that NW is going to sell Compass and Mesaba to another carrier anyway? NW owned Express Airlines I, and rather than sell that operation to another carrier and loose control of it they renamed it Pinnacle, and made it a public corporation, then made a fortune of it's IPO. NW still profitted from the sale of the regional, but retained a higher level of operational control. I see no reason to think they would do otherwise in this case.
Like you said, do your research.
This is key in all these silly debates. NWA needs to have control over their Regionals. When some of you posted that Skywest or Mesa was going to fly CR9's for us, I wondered how many days out of high school you had. A PCL pilot (new hire) was so sure 9E had NWA over a barrel he actually thought NWA wouldn't take away the CRJ"s!! Please!!! NWA does what NWA want's. They want CONTROL.
