In the contract Compass can be sold after NORTHWEST has recieved 10 new small narrowbodies (ie the E190). Compass could have 50 planes, if NW hasn't recieved 10 of a new small narrowbody type Compass cannot be sold.
How did you guys get so convinced that NW is going to sell Compass and Mesaba to another carrier anyway? NW owned Express Airlines I, and rather than sell that operation to another carrier and loose control of it they renamed it Pinnacle, and made it a public corporation, then made a fortune of it's IPO. NW still profitted from the sale of the regional, but retained a higher level of operational control. I see no reason to think they would do otherwise in this case.
Like you said, do your research.

This is key in all these silly debates. NWA needs to have control over their Regionals. When some of you posted that Skywest or Mesa was going to fly CR9's for us, I wondered how many days out of high school you had. A PCL pilot (new hire) was so sure 9E had NWA over a barrel he actually thought NWA wouldn't take away the CRJ"s!! Please!!! NWA does what NWA want's. They want CONTROL.

Tell me, what makes any other reg any better. You all are fighting over contracts for the same airlines. We are fed from NWA.
Always "the sky is falling chicken little". I've been a RedTail for a number of years. Good times, Bad times...so what. Now are the good times!!!!
Flying for a living is not for the faint at heart. (I don't mean the flying part, that's easy

NWA treats their labor groups like crap. Which leads to horrible customer service and 1000's of disgruntled employees. If you fly on other airlines you'll realize how horrible NWA is.
Thumbs up for NWA management!

Why anyone would want to work for NWA is beyond me:
I didn't know good times involved a concessionary contract.

Read the contract. We still make more or at least as much as anyone flying our fleet type. The big 'AND' is "snap-back". The MESABA/ALPA pilot group did great things here!! We almost shut down the airline. But in the end all parties worked it out. Beyond that I'm not disagreeing with you.

you can add ASA, PSA, TSA, 9E, PIEDMONT, BIG SKY, REPUBLIC, well pretty much everyone except horizon. Oh and this was coming out of bankruptcy mind you.

Erm, not quite sure what your point is but to the best of my knowledge none of those companies fly Saabs or the CRJ-900...
