Look. This is the regionals. Whether you like it or not, this is an entry level job with the only constraint being flight time. Newsflash: you will get crappy pilots from time to time. Ripping on dudes for not being able to fly visuals? Please. That happens at mainline. I've rode on plenty of jumpseats where I became moderately concerned at times because the 63 year old captain had to hand fly when the automation crapped out. Or they try to fly the visual with the automation and completely botch everything. You have a complex with Mesa. Just admit it. Bad pilots are found at EVERY airline; major, regional, legacy, international, military, whatever. I'd like to say to you, "you were once a new hire too," but honestly I don't know if you ever have been...
If some dude who's well connected can get hired at United with 2500 total, and some FO time on an ERJ, so be it. Good for him or her, and frankly, I hope a lot of us will be that fortunate. We're headed that direction. Get used to it. Stop acting like some grizzly old captain who's been flying DC-6's with an ADF since the 1950's. You come off as a complete jerk, and frankly, I'm happy that personalities like yours are weeded out at the major and legacy level.
tl:dr......
