Got the details onthe contract they passed from a pretty knowledgable AA captain just the other day. At the end of it I was pretty surprised at the holes in the contract their management wanted for the pay raise. I wasn't sure of passage after hearing all that but...I guess the money was too good.
In some seats the money is that far off the DAL rates which those guys clearly make up and even exceed with their PS. It's remotely possible WE might even make up the gap with PS but we'd have to turn some serious numbers.
How they come up with the 11 hour three days is their trip rig is a rolling rig so if you sit more than 24 you won't be paid for calendar day. As I read not a lot of those trips but still...it's possible.
It wasn't the pay rates. They had already holed themselves into a cost neutral binding arbitration if they voted it down. This wasn't a regular section 6 where they had their "regular" leverage to use
