Agreed. This is embarrassing.

I know that a few years ago, almost everyone that did this was a foreign pilot, and airlines paid for the training. The majority were KAL. The airline paid for all of their flight training, and then put them in the right seat of a turboprop for 1200 hours. The students were paid when they were in the program, and flew Metros for Ameriflight.

On a side note, I did meet Rick (the owner of Eagle Jet) several years ago. He is quite certainly a shady person. He embodies what is wrong with aviation in this country.
