No one is taking anyone's job at Ameriflight. Most days I fly alone, no big deal if there's no FO. On the other hand, if you're qualified, Ameriflight needs pilots just as bad as anyone, and they can hire with lower time than the regionals.

What happened to just getting your CFI / CFII / MEI with around 300 - 350 hrs, and instructing until you have the 1500? You get paid for those last 1200 hrs, instead of paying for it. Go to a regional, hopefully upgrade in a few years, and move on to a major. I understand that this program is mainly set for foreigners that cannot instruct in the United States, but the fact that they are catering to Americans (hence the pitch to get you hired with PSA & RAH) says otherwise.

The cost never ends!!! Now it seems you have to go to a job fair ($150 - $250) plus hotel and travel expenses (another $100 - $150), and attend an interview prep course (another $200 - $500 plus travel and hotel expenses) to even have a remote chance at a major. This is in addition to the other 6 figures already spent just to get to the regionals. The Darby's of the world sure do seem to have this racket all hemmed up!

LOL, wow. This îs the equivalent of walking into a McDonalds Looking for a job and them saying "Before YOU get to flip a burger with us, YOU need to go to that hamburger shack around the corner and PAY THEM to teach YOU how to flip 1250 burgers before applying here"

First OFF, very few people have Any idea of how EASY it is to get an interview at a regional nowadays, and most people pick a regional based On the proximity to their Home without knowing any of the details divulged On forums like these.....that site is apparently Making people believe that their affiliation with PSA and Republic is a PRIVILEGE.

UH....LOL.
