Probably not much of a difference. But you gotta think of it from a public image sort of view. If there was a tragic accident and they go into the pilots background blurting it all over TV. Who would the airline rather have? An ATP wonder pilot who got all of his ratings in 12 months? Or someone with a four year degree in the profession in which they have chosen to make a living?
