That being said there is a lot of good outside of a poor contract:
-No 50 Seaters to park, with more 7x seaters trickling online
-Decent work environment/great group of pilots
-Seniority rising quickly on the FO side, allowing for decent QOL/Bidding
-Great training department
-Decently stable, new, codeshare agreements.

All of that being said, uh, who really wants to be a regional lifer outside of a small set of given circumstances (older, 2nd career change comes to mind). If you're not looking to be a long-term regional guy, and you're of a suitable age/marketability for the Majors/International/Overseas carriers, then you absolutely want to get to that left seat and start building TPIC to move on.

The lovely Skywest contract is the best in the regional industry, but you're still a regional. The elitism that you all spew around is just nuts. We all make peanuts, at least we don't have a complex about it over here at YV.
You can call it whatever you want. I will make close to 50k as a 2nd year FO. The upgrade will come, I'm not worried about it. In the meantime, I can feed my family and actually afford the company healthcare. Guys with no TPIC are already getting picked up by the legacies, that trend will only get better in the coming years. I guess if that's elitism, call me elite.
