I'm not sure who, Facebitten, is. While I'm sorry that you were let go, as several others have said, you cannot sleep in a 121 training class. Nor going around bashing the airline that "screwed you". It's not just the fact you were sleeping on the break, but how does that look to them? Well if he sleeps here for sure he will sleep in the air. Of course you don't get the option to resign, you were just hired, and hired to be a professional, act like one. You're in training, getting paid to learn the systems of an airplane, be it Mesa or anywhere else, stay up, pay attention and learn. It is not amazon shopping hour, or airline pilot forum update time, get out of fantasy land and into reality. Grow up, no airline is out to screw a new hire it cost them time and money, obviously you messed up. Move on. Don't trash an airline for firing you because you slept in the training class that they paid you to attend. What kind of spoiled kid thinks thats being screwed over? Please inform us which regional you would like to go to that allows it's new hires to sleep and surf the internet during training class. You'd be laughed at by any major for such unprofessionalism and silliness.

If you can't handle the regional airline training environment, maybe scheduled service isn't for you.

As far as Mesa is concerned, they're a decent little airline. Sure not the best pay, but you're also not there to be a lifetime F/O. You'll get paid a little less, but be a CA quicker than almost anywhere else and then you get paid more. Simple logic. They also don't have any small planes, and aren't parking any, in fact they continue to add. This is a different company than the pre-bankruptcy Mesa and everyone I have come into contact with has been wonderful. Most employees like the company quirks and all and we want to see it grow.
