You said companies are using social media. Twitter is one of the largest and most popular social media platforms in existence.

Several academic papers published at places like Cornell and Princeton(have you heard of them) have cited, among other things, the lack of young teens' interest in Facebook as one of many indicators of its decline. You should go tell those PHDs that they don't know what they are talking about too.
