I can guarantee when I'm working for a major I won't be writinga doctoral thesis about how much I think I may but in reality don't know.
I'll counter two of his chapters. First, you say United has 12,000 apps on file. THAT may be true but I'd venture that only 1/3 of them are potential employees. Four thousand is still a lot but not nearly as staggering.
Second, a good company, airline or not, should not be irresponsible enough to hire someone without appropriate credentials especially knowing it'll ruin someone's career. That's bad faith hiring. I'm not saying the applicant isn't culpable for their resume and background but a company should not blindly hire knowing the implications to their career.
