I think it works well for when you discuss your career and how you got to where you are, but I sure cant look at my resume and come up with a story about a time I was doing something right but told I was wrong, or a time I had to deal with an upset customer.
To the contrary, I took a list of common TMAAT questions from Interview Prep, and found different parts of my resume that had the best stories. Studied that way in a general form, ie my C-130 schoolhouse tour had plenty of examples for EPs, teaching, customer service in the form of teaching students etc. not designed to answer every TMAAT, but by studying my resume before the interview, I knew which jobs had the best stories for different TMAATs. Helped me relax during my interview in 2013. Also helped me come up with the best stories which they seemed to love.
