Interview Calls & Hiring Predictions

Interview Calls & Hiring Predictions
I figure we need a separate thread to talk about hiring rather than continuing to hijack the poolie thread. While I am sure there are nowhere near as many concrete answers available as most of us would like, there may at least be some catharsis in trading theories for those of us trying to understand why the phone isn't ringing.
From other threads, it sounds like at least some of the calls for the next round of interviews have gone out. The interviews will run the first couple of weeks in June for September class dates. This suggests calls go out roughly 2-4 weeks prior to interview availability.
As far as how many calls will go out, it sounds like classes have been running a couple of times per month with around a dozen new hires a piece. Based on a 70% success rate with interviews, they'd want to call 30-40 pilots for the June round- a very small selection from 12,000 apps on file. (Around 1 in 300)
For such a small group, I'd expect most, if not all calls have already gone out. For those waiting by the phone, I would expect no more activity until around mid-August, at which point calls will begin again for September interviews. All this, of course, assumes no change in hiring needs between now and then.
Beyond September, I think the hiring predictions are "indefinite", but I believe that was also the prediction beginning last year, so I'd say it's getting too far off to make accurate predictions. Hiring needs will be based on how quickly the pool moves into training, which is subject to backlogs in upgrade/transition needs. Moving forward, the ability to balance hiring, transition, and upgrade needs with actual training capacity will be a challenge for United as well as others, and I wouldn't be surprised to see further "stop and go" in interviews and hiring as they try to find that perfect balance.
Hopefully, those in the know can correct me where I'm wrong, and others will add their thoughts and insights- best of luck to all.

I believe the number i heard for the June interviews was 52, with a hope to hire about 40 of them. All the selections have been made, but not sure if the calls have gone out.
Good luck!

I was called Friday morning (9 May) and received the Hogan email that night. I did the Hogan test Saturday afternoon and am waiting for whatever comes next. Anyone take the Hogan test and hear words back yet? "...the waiting is the hardest part..."

Last spring when I was hired I heard back within a day. I think it varies though. Good luck!

I'm not sure of they've changed things up, but I was called the morning after I took the Hogan to set up an interview date. This was in October and things have definitely been fluid these past 7 months. Sometimes no news is good news. Good luck to everyone!
The theme so far seems to be that you're good to go as long as you don't get the dreaded "no thanks" email.
