Spending $100,000 at ATP and not getting a degree is dumb. There are 2 year schools you can get into even if you didnt have good grades in high school. Go to a 2 year school and bust your a$$ to get good grades. Get your ratings at an FBO, it's going to be less expensive than ATP or an aviation university. After you get a good GPA at the 2 year school then transfer to a 4 year and get a degree. Without a degree it will be impossible to get anywhere besides a regional if the industry take a turn again. Most major airlines still require a 4 year degree anyway. While you are at the 2 year school make sure you also learn how to spell. It's "college", not "collage."
