No worries. I wasn't trying to imply anything but the briefing I was in they made it clear what they were saying because people were freaking out. They have apps that have been on file since 2009. I even emailed a recruiter from the WAI event and she explained the process. Everyone was also thrown for a loop with the lack of "points" being given for career fairs. People are getting wrapped up in the useless details when they should just be concentrating on making themselves a stronger candidate. I get the frustration with watching people get lucky with less time or experience but that is the game we have to play.
Spoke to the owner of airline apps today and he got first hand confirmation that all you need to do is update your current application. Whatever was said at the hiring brief was not correct. The email that airlineapps sent out was approved by United prior to being disseminated. So hopefully that helps put everyone at ease!
