The pilot should be thinking about flight planning and other safety and efficiency-related tasks, which is exactly why other companies do not require they load the plane so they can save $2. Wiggins doesn't have an exclusive on that, all the UPS feeders do it that way. It's just how it is, until they all get together and decide they don't want to do it that way. UPS feed is an entry level job. FedEx feed is not.
