I say it makes sense...doesn't mean it is going to happen that way...but such a plan is not an indication of whether you can staff or not...we do know the other express carriers can't cover their flying since AWAC has been asked constantly to pick up extra flying going on a year now.
I thought the 200, 700 and 900 were the same Type rating. The pilots at PSA can bid 200 flying, 700 or 900 and it makes no difference. And they are flying them at a much reduced rate compared to AWAC and AAG keeps all the profit. To me that makes way more sense to keep the 200's at PSA especially if they can easily staff them.
Again I'm not an Airline Executive so I'm not sure how things actually work.
Parkers main plan is to try and operate 3 WO'ed airlines each one having close to 100 planes. We'll see how that works out.
