[QUOTE=billyho;1845710]I thought the 200, 700 and 900 were the same Type rating. The pilots at PSA can bid 200 flying, 700 or 900 and it makes no difference. And they are flying them at a much reduced rate compared to AWAC and AAG keeps all the profit. To me that makes way more sense to keep the 200's at PSA especially if they can easily staff them. [/QOUTE]

They are the same type but the -700/-900 are different critters than the -200. Leading edge devices, FADEC, some vastly simplified systems operations (fewer switches and blinky lights ) and an environmental system that, I've heard, works.

I don't believe anyone actively builds pairings and lines with a mix of -200 and -700/-900 flying, unlike the ERJ operators where one could conceivably fly the 135, 140 and 145 not only on one trip but on the same day (think I did it once during my short time at EGL way back).

Again I'm not an Airline Executive so I'm not sure how things actually work.

Parkers main plan is to try and operate 3 WO'ed airlines each one having close to 100 planes. We'll see how that works out.
Nah... we don't know how they work. We're Pilots and we think too logically.

Does he really want three WOs? See here:http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/re...ml#post1845788 as I'm too lazy to retype what I said
