I think the 900s have better performance (speed and fuel burn) and therefore mission capability, if I'm not mistaken. The comfort issue and the fact that pax feel less like they are on a tiny puddle jumper I think is the reason the ejet is becoming more prolific. Not sure about mx costs over a 10-15 year period, which I'm sure plays into it, but still lots of CRJs coming off the production line. I wish all 76 seat jets would all just go away though, or go to mainline.
