I was basing all this on the travel benefit guide from my airline saying it takes 5-7 days to process a ticket request. I guess I'll just try it through zed and see what happens. Worse comes to worse, I buy a last minute ticket like I did a few months ago and proceed to enjoy the jack and cokes for three hours!!!
If you have access to wings, you should be able to make a listing within seconds and check in online as long as it's within 45 mins of departure. You can still make a listing right before departure time on wings, you just need the gate agent to check you in.
