Who says not to fly extra? That could be perceived as an illegal job action if you are told not to fly extra. Now, most of the "engaged and accountable" folks are enjoying as much time off with their families as possible and choosing to allow the company to re-evaluate their staffing goals and how many favors asked from the pilot group. Sadly, there are still many individuals helping the company justify being undermanned because they choose to work above BLG. Those are the individuals who tend to spend their layovers solo as many of the engaged folks have differing opinions from those individuals on what unity means.
