You do realize one of the reasons a Delta had to give this longevity payment to keep people there was because of them having them go bankrupt 2 years ago to get out of their new CBA don't you? You really think they will be allowed to declare bancrupcy twice in less than 6 years solely to get rid of that payment??
If they can find a way to meet the requirements to file another bankruptcy, then yes they very easily could. However, I'm not seeing that in their plans at this point and that would absolutely defeat the whole purpose of giving the retention bonus. If Delta put Endeavor into bankruptcy again now, I doubt anything would keep enough pilots around to fly any planes. They might as well just shut off the lights and save the costs of filing.
