First off going to the company vs pro standards, if that is what happened, was a di*k move. That being said, no communication with a rep is confidential. The rep shouldn't be volunteering info, but if called on during an arbitration, the rep would need to answer any questions asked. Anything important enough to require confidentiality should only be discussed with an attorney.
