There are 2 2008 hires and 4 2007 hires, 11 2006 hires, and some 2005/4/3/1 hires, then a bunch from the 90s. Of the 130 or so PHX CAs (some just moved to DFW this bid so its probably less than that now), I would say the number who will leave in the next 5 years is less than 20 because they are either not qualified (no degree) or not interested because they can't afford it or don't want to reset seniority. Not that many of the PHX CAs commute and are not likely to change their base. Most of the PHX commuters I know live somewhere in the west.

We are in the process of losing our LA flying (staffed out of PHX), so we lost a significant number of lines between March and now (20-25 I think?) but are allegedly going to pick a little bit more up in June/July. PHX isn't growing, and what little attrition exists from the PHX CA ranks just doesn't appear, at least to me, to allow much of an opportunity for Captains to hold PHX in any reasonable amount of time.
