All that aside, your "proof" that movement is better than pay is completely wrong. FOs are being hired in large numbers from places like XJT and ENY. Plus, any civilian only pilot hired after spring 2013 when most of thr big regionals started having hiring problems has yet to get an invite to work at a big 3.
Maybe you missed the UAL Q1 report, but UAL is INCREASING the 50 seater draw down. Things are rapidly changing, and changing on a monthly basis. We are interviewing as many applicants as possible with a huge percentage interviewed getting a class date. That trend will continue, and anything prospective applicants can do to rise to the top of the stack is a good thing. That would be things like TPIC, LCA, instructor, community service, and so on. Working for the best regional with the best contract is NOT on that list. But hey, if it makes you feel good to knock Mesa then have at it, but you may be pulling gear for some of these guys in the future.

ROFLMAO! You work for a company that created alter-ego GoJets! A play made by Hulas straight from JO. The only difference is that Mesa squashed the alter-ego attempt by obtaining scope protections. Those protections cost them dearly in pay and QOL, and they have yet to find a favorable environment to negotiate in.

Your insult means a lot coming from the one airline created to completely circumvent the collective bargaining of another pilot group.
So Mesa was created to circumvent the collective bargaining of others? Like GoJets or something?

Your revisionist history lesson is a joke!

I have a lot of friends at XJT, many of whom chose to stay there rather than coming to CAL when the opportunity presented itself. Now, they are busting their ass to get that number at UAL, several thousand numbers junior to where they would have been had they jumped at the CAL opportunity in '05-'07. One of the big reasons was the pay, QOL, etc that the XJT contract offered vs. the scab-contract we had at CAL. It was a valid point at the time, and though no one can predict the future, focusing on improving a part of the industry that is dying a slow death vs. focusing on making yourself as marketable as possible is a fools errand. Ask the senior XJT'ers if you'd like. We don't care what your lineage is, unless you crossed a picket line, or how awesome your contract was, we care about the quality of the resume.
