Yes we are parking 15 CR7's this year. To exercise the full amount of 76 seaters permitted they can have no more than 102 70 seaters. This 102 includes the E170's. UAL prefers the cabin layout, and performance of the Embraer 170/175 so I suspect we'll see more CR7's parked as leases/contracts come up. Inside of 5 years I expect to see UAX solely operating Ejets with all 50 seaters and CR7's gone.
United has approached SkyWest already about renewing these 700s, but United wants it at the current rate, SkyWest won't do it for those rates anymore. They need airplanes RIGHT NOW, they don't have time to wait around for 175s to come off the line. Thats why you will see 700 and 200s stick around for the next few years.
