I could be completely wrong with my speculative reasoning but potential new hires need to be aware that the majors are not hiring our guys at the same rate as other regionals. That is not a rumor or speculation, that is fact. So just think hard before you jump ship at another regional to chase our quick upgrade time. You can't expect an airline with 1000 or less pilots to match the attrition of an airline with 4000 pilots. Another thing to consider is the difference in longevity between different pilot groups. XJT has tons of 7-8 year FOs for the majors to pick up while Mesa's pilot group is largely (but not entirely) newer to the 121 world and is still building time and experience.
