Check the release, plan, loads, nonrev list, and the pretty WSI weather page, call dispatch to add fuel, visit with the agents re specials/nonrevs/jumpseaters/Barney's/weight restrictions, (this gives one the chance to sort out the door-closing vs. boarding nonrevs issues..) call loads if necessary and fix weight restrictions, answer a question or two from the peeps while the up-to-date correct release/plan prints, pee, get food, do walk-around on F/O's leg - thus letting them relax and flirt with the F/a's for a change - and go flying.
