If we can keep hiring like this a new hire today shouldn't be on reserve for more than a few months depending on aircraft and base. With that said, I am a 4.5 year FO in JFK and I'm still on reserve...but the bulk of the new hire wave post bonus announcement are just starting to hit the line. Movement will be much faster with new classes starting monthly. The variable is keeping able bodied people filling class!
4.5 years on reserve? And how many hours do you typically fly on reserve per month? Can you typically expect at least one trip per reserve or do you sit at home often?
And how many seniority numbers would a new hire FO in NY have to come up, before he is off reserve, how many juniors below needed?
